My new tank recently just put up. It has the same tank mates as before in my other vid of my 10 gal. All the decor in this tank are temporary and being used to support beneficial bacteria. I cycling the tank with "Hagen Cycle", Ammonia and nitrite levels are 0ppm, Nitrate level around 10-15ppm. Ph is at 7.5. Sand substrate: Black tahitian moon and some white sand for added resemblence of natural habitat. Tank powered by an AquaClear HOB Filter 110, MaxiJet 1200 powerhead, 2 visi-therm 200watt heaters, some aeration. Eheim pro 3e 2076 canister filter is still to come. Slate rock for shelter and also so it wont be so boring to look at until I get driftwood and live plants. My JD and FM are looking healthy. The tiger oscar looks average. My albino has hold in the freakin head (I hate it..) Treating it with furanase because my LFS told me she heard it worked. If anyone has any other suggestions it would be much appreciated. Feeding them OmegaOne pellets and flakes and bloodworms and krill and brine shrimp and veggie flakes. Cichlids overall looking real good, no signs of stress or sickness. I watch them at least an hour a day. Opinions are welcomed. Thanks for watching!

I just got this here new tank, my other was getting too small. My fish look small in this for a change. The water looks cloudy, it isnt, its actually 100% spotless . I run a Rena Filstar 20 with an Aqua Clear 20 powerhead. The Powerhead has a built in aerator, which is why i purchased it. Possibly a new decoration will come soon, who cares.

So i've got this little problem. So my smart self decided to let my tank sit w/out the filter running for a couple of weeks. After putting water in and turning the filter on, the water turned milky white water after a day or two after i changed my water. I didn't see a forum on filters so I'll post it here. I saw a link for a canister filter. Looked good, I guess. Seemed easy to clean or change media, but the flow was 225 gph and the price was $200. I have an Aquaclear 110 (actually three) that flows 500 gph, easy and cheap to clean and it cost me $70, which is a great deal, btw. I think they go for about $90. Are there many real, important advantages to a canister unit? The AC 70 I have on my 20 gallon tank works great too.
